Motorbike Cake

Today I have had the stressful task of making a motorbike cake. In total it took me 5 and a half hours to make, i cut all of the pieces of bike out and painstakingly placed them onto the cake.

I am really pleased with how this cake has turned out, definitely worth all of the aggro!!

Boxing Glove Cupcake

So! I have been baking tonnes this week! Here we have chocolate chip cupcakes topped with a marshmallow icing. They have been topped with little boxing gloves as the person I made them for is a keen boxing enthusiast.

Cath Kidston inspired cupcakes

Here are my Cath Kidston inspired cupcakes. I used royal icing to decorate them and it was a nightmare, it dried so quickly I barely had chance to do the designs I wanted! Still, not a bad attempt.

Hello Kitty Birthday Cake

My customer wanted a 'Hello Kitty' birthday cake for her daughters 8th birthday. We talked about different idea's for the cake and settled on a plain sponge with chocolate buttercream filling. The cake was to be square and have pink flowers on with Hello Kitty's face. This is the end result!

I received a text later in the day and Kensa had said her cake was "awesome!" :)

Olivia's Cupcakes!

Half Term had arrived and Olivia wanted to start it off by making some cupcakes! She decided to make chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream (that HAD to be green), she sprinkled pink sprinkles on and then cut out all by herself the rice paper butterflies. Other then a little help icing the cakes and mummy putting them in and out of the oven she did the whole process herself!

Didn't she do a fantastic job?! ... proud mummy :)

Gingerbread House

Xmas 2012! My mum, daughter and I made our first ever gingerbread house! It was massive so will probably try it again on a smaller scale next year! We used lots of different sweet treats to decorate and royal icing to hold it all together!

Olivia even made herself some gingerbread glasses with left over dough!! :p

Gingerbread Men

My customer asked me to make some gingerbread men for her grandma for Christmas, these were the end results! My customer was very happy with them and said her grandma thought they were delicious! This photo was taken before they were put into their gift box.

Handbag Cake

I made this handbag cake for my mum for her birthday. I have to say for a first attempt I think it turned out really well! It was a bit fiddly as there were lots of parts. I wanted to make it look like an actual handbag as a lot of the handbag cakes I looked at looked very unrealistic and a bit silly.

The actual cake itself was a chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream.

Feb 2013 update

So I've done exceptionally well in doing monthly updates!! Lol.

The last few months I haven't been baking much (the cakes I have made will be posted shortly). In march I have my brothers birthday cake to make and some cupcakes to make for my work friends before I start my new 'day job'. So if you do want a cake let me know I have more then enough time to make your cakes!

Anyway I need to get cracking uploading photo's for you all to see!!
